The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. on at S. Tryon Street and Moss Road. Twenty-seven-year-old Officer Jeffrey Page, who was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Caprice, struck 80-year-old Arnulfo Salazar in the roadway.
