Charlotte Douglas extends airline leases for one year so negotiations can continue
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Douglas is extending its lease agreement with the airlines that use the airport for up to a year. The current agreement ends on June 30th. The extension allows negotiations between the airport and the airlines to continue until they reach a new long-term deal.
American Airlines accounts for most of the flights at the airport. The airline released a statement saying, “American has been committed to Charlotte for decades and supported $4 billion worth of infrastructure improvements at the airport in just the past decade.”
