Anonymous Tip Leads Police To Arresting Robbery Suspect In Charlotte

The Latest:

Detectives say they arrested Altadarius Flowe for his involvement in these robberies.  Police say they identified Flowe as a suspect based on evidence collected at the various crime scenes by Crime Scene Search.

In addition, Crime Stoppers received an anonymous tip identifying Flowe as the suspect in photographs that were shown on various media outlets.

Flowe has been charged with five counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and larceny.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is trying to identify a man accused of robbing several businesses over the past four days.

The robberies occurred at the following locations:

  • May 31
    • 9:49pm – Speedway gas station on N. Tryon Street
  • June 1
    • 12:11pm – R&K Express on Pence Road
  • June 3
    • 7:51am – 7-Eleven on Pavilion Boulevard
    • 1:21pm – Domino’s on South Boulevard
    • 3:22pm – Dollar General on Albemarle Road

Police say the suspect robbed each business at gunpoint, except one.

Investigators say the suspect made a purchase at the 7-Eleven, and then snatched money from the register when the clerk opened the drawer. No weapon was shown during that crime.

Investigators say the suspect is a black male, between 5’8″ and 5’10”, with an average build.
