Man Wanted For Armed Robbery, Vehicle Theft In Cabarrus County

DAVIDSON, NC — Deputies are looking for a man accused of armed robbery and vehicle theft in the Park Creek subdivision Monday morning.

Chad Kendrick Hinson was last seen on foot in the area of Fox Ridge Circle near the Cabarrus/Rowan County line.

Around 11:23am, Hinson reportedly drove into the subdivision and offered a landscape worker a bottle of water before pulling a gun on him and demanding everything he had. When the victim ran, witnesses say Hinson abandoned his own vehicle and stole the landscape crew’s truck.

Deputies say they found Hinson’s vehicle registration and identification inside the red Toyota Tacoma, which he had abandoned in the neighborhood.

K-9 units and deputies searched the area for Hinson after they discovered the landscaper’s truck abandoned in another part of the same neighborhood, but were unable to locate him at the time.

He still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous. Hinson is described as a white male, late 40’s, with curly and partially gray hair. He was last seen wearing a burgundy sleeveless tank top and blue jean shorts.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office at 704-920-3000 or local law enforcement agency immediately.
