MATTHEWS, NC — Police are looking for the man they say robbed a woman getting out of her car early Monday morning.
Police say the crime happened just before 4am on Crescent Lane. The victim says a large man approached her as she was getting out of her car and demanded money.
The victim says she briefly struggled with the suspect over her purse before he snatched it away, and took off in a small dark colored car. She was not injured, according to police.
The suspect is described as a large white male, late 40’s to early 50’s, around six feet tall, and light colored eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue plaid shirt wrapped around his head and plaid or golf design style shorts.
