TAYLORSVILLE, NC — Investigators are waiting for autopsy results to determine if any charges will be filed in a deadly shooting that happened shortly after midnight Monday.
Around 12:55am, deputies were called to a home on Will Wilson Lane to investigate a possible shooting. When they arrived, officials say a 17-year-old male was found dead from a gunshot wound.
Officials say at least one other teen and an adult female were at the scene when the shooting occurred. The victim’s name has not yet been released.
Investigators have not said how the shooting happened or whether there are suspects in the case.
An autopsy is schedule for Wednesday. Officials say they will contact the DA’s office regarding the incident once those results are made available.
