Deputies seize drugs, guns and cash in drug bust at Hickory home
CATAWBA CO., N.C. – A major drug bust in Catawba County leads to one man’s arrest and the seizure of a deadly amount of fentanyl.
Catawba County Sheriff’s deputies say a search warrant executed Friday at a Hickory home turned up more than 250 grams of fentanyl, along with meth, cocaine, three handguns, two AR-15 style rifles and a large amount of cash.
Investigators arrested and charged 33-year-old Malik Maynard with multiple drug trafficking and distribution charges.
He is being held in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $3.5 million secured bond.
