Morrison YMCA placed on lockdown after person displayed weapon to another member

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The YMCA of Greater Charlotte confirmed late Thursday night that the Morrison YMCA in Ballantyne was put on lockdown after a person displayed what appeared to be a weapon to another member.

We’re told CMPD responded and the YMCA has banned the person from all Charlotte YMCA locations.

The YMCA of Greater Charlotte says the safety and well-being of all members is their highest priority.
