Community Complaints Lead To Drug Bust In Statesville
STATESVILLE, N.C. — A Statesville man has been arrested for selling cocaine out of his residence after citizen complaints led to an investigation.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, concerned community members advised authorities that they believed narcotics were being sold at the residence located at 3691 Hickory Highway.
Investigators established surveillance operations and determined Juwan Anthony Hester, alr was selling cocaine out of this location.
Undercover detectives made cocaine purchases before obtaining a search warrant.
The search warrant was executed on Thursday, June 14th, 2018. Hester was arrested and charged with four felony counts of Four Felony Counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Cocaine, and Four Felony Counts of Sell and Deliver cocaine.
Hester has a lengthy criminal history which includes arrests for Common Law Robbery, Assault on a Female, Assault, Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine, Second Degree Rape, Resisting a Public Officer, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and numerous driving related charges.
“I hope these repeat, career criminals are getting the message, the community is tired of this activity, and be certain, the sheriff’s office is going to use all legal means at our disposal to stop this activity and put these offenders in jail,” said Sheriff Darren Campbell.
