Huge house fire in south Charlotte does about $850K in damage
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Investigators say a huge house fire in south Charlotte started accidentally. It broke out just after six AM Friday on Clematis Drive, off Fairview Road.
Crews arrive to find fire showing from the roof of the two-story home. It took firefighters about 40 minutes to get it under control.
No one was home at the time.
Investigators determined the fire started in the attic, near recessed lighting and an electrical box. Damage is estimated at around $850,000.
