Firefighters recover body of 12-year-old boy from Wilson Creek

CALDWELL CO., N.C. – Firefighters in Caldwell County say they’ve recovered the body of a 12-year-old boy who drowned in Wilson Creek.

Crews responded to reports of a missing child around 4:00 Saturday afternoon at Brown Mountain Beach Road and Craig Mountain Road.

The 12-year-old’s body was found in the water a short time later. His name has not been released.
