CATS releases video of violent bus assault

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – New video shows the moment a woman was assaulted on a CATS bus in northwest Charlotte. 

This happened back in April on Berkshire Boulevard near Center Street, but CATS released the video on Friday.

Police say an incident that happened outside the bus moved onto the bus on April 10 around 8 a.m. The video shows a woman run onto the bus with a man closely following behind.

We pause the video on the moment when the altercation turns physical. The man hits the woman in the face in front of other riders.

The operator stops the bus and calls for help. By the time police arrived, both people left the scene.

There is still no word on any arrests related to this incident.
