Water service gradually being restored in Anson County

Some people in Anson County have been without running water for 72 hours.

A water main break knocked out service for 80% of the county on Tuesday.

The county says varying levels of pressure have been returned to the system, and fire service is back for the entire county.

However, water is still slowly trickling into some households as of Friday night.

If you do have water, officials say you need to boil it for at least one minute before use. Fire departments are still providing bottled water for those who need it.
