ATL Officer Goes Viral Warning of Hands-Free Law
An Atlanta Police Officer is going viral, warning drivers about the upcoming hands-free law that will soon take effect in Georgia.
Starting this Sunday, drivers cannot hold phones in their hand while driving, and they cannot read or text while behind the wheel. The first time you’re caught it’s a $50 fine and one point off your license. The second time a $100 fine and 2 points. Every time you’re caught it goes up. The new law hopes to cut down on accidents and keep drivers focused on the road.
