CMPD asking for tips after two teen girls are shot on on-ramp & drive themselves to hospital

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police say two teens were hurt after a shooting on East Independence Boulevard. It happened around 8:00 Friday night. Investigators believe the suspect chased down the victims after an argument and shot into their car on the ramp from Briar Creek Road onto the highway, heading toward Uptown.

The victims, 17 and 15-year-old girls, took themselves to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. There’s no word on their conditions.
