CMPD identifies victim in deadly shooting, says they are not looking for suspects

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have identified the victim after a deadly shooting in east Charlotte. Investigators say 31-year-old Jaqualla Simmons was found shot on Wallace Road near East Independence Boulevard around 7:00 Sunday morning.

MEDIC pronounced her dead at the scene.

Police have not announced an arrest, but say they are not looking for any suspects.
