CMPD: 18-year-old shot and killed 15-year-old girl after FaceTime argument

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have charged a teenager with the murder of a 15-year-old girl in east Charlotte. According to court documents, 18-year-old Obadiah Walker is accused of shooting and killing 15-year-old Ya-Monnie Houston near East Independence Boulevard last Friday.

The two were in separate cars when it happened, after an argument over FaceTime, involving several people.

A 17-year-old girl was also shot and has life-threatening injuries.
