Surveillance video shows moment circular saw blade almost flew into recycling center worker
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mecklenburg County officials are issuing an urgent warning after a close call at an east Charlotte recycling center.
Surveillance video from the Pence Road Material Recovery facility shows the exact moment a flying circular saw blade nearly struck a worker last month.
Officials stress that saw blades are not recyclable and pose a severe danger to crews. They say if you are unsure whether an item belongs in the bin, the county’s official rule is simple: when in doubt, throw it out.
