NY Private School Reveals Plan To Separate Students By Race
A plan to separate students by race at a New York private school has parents ticked off. The little red school house in Manhattan told parents that non-white middle school students will be placed in the same homeroom in the fall. The race-based placement already had been in effect for seventh and eighth graders. The school says, the policy is meant to help Black or Latino students feel less isolated by giving them safety in numbers.
