Anson Co. water now safe to drink, but may still have lingering chlorine taste

ANSON CO., N.C. – The boil water advisory for Anson County is now lifted. Officials confirm repairs are complete and tests show the water is safe. People who live in towns like Wadesboro should check with local officials, as individual towns manage their own advisories.

You may notice a lingering chlorine taste in the water, but officials say it is safe.

It comes nearly two weeks after a major water line break shut down the system and depleted reserves.
