CMPD makes arrest after road rage shooting on I-485

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a highway road-rage shooting.

Dailyn Young’s charges include Attempted Murder and Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Vehicle.

Police say on June 7, the 23-year-old was driving a stolen car when he shot into a Jeep Compass along the I-485 outer loop. Passenger Parish Killian was shot, but survived.

Detectives used cameras to track down the stolen vehicle used in the crime. They were able to track down Young about a month later on July 10th, and arrested him after two separate police chases.
