Midweek widespread rain with isolated flooding

Tropical Storm Bertha has formed in the Gulf

 

Forecast:
Tuesday: Mostly sunny. Hot and humid. Isolated showers and storms possible but mostly dry. Highs in the mid 90s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny. Breezy. Hot and humid ahead of cold front. Scattered showers ahead of overnight widespread rain.

Overnight: Flood threat as a “rain train” could set up over parts of our area. 1-3” of rain likely with isolated 3-5” possible.

Thursday: Rough morning drive with localized flooding possible. More rain likely, turning scattered by the afternoon. Highs in the upper 70s, near 80.

Friday: Partly sunny. Highs near 80. Scattered showers.

Tropics:
Tropical Storm Bertha will bring gusty wind, heavy rain and storm surge to the Gulf Coast through the week. Bertha will get steered westward toward Texas thanks to an area of high pressure off the SE coast.
