CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A stalled front will bring waves of heavy rain overnight through Thursday.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect from 6 PM this evening through Thursday evening for Anson, Stanly, Richmond, Ashe and Watauga counties.
As the front stalls over North Carolina, waves of rain will ride along the front. Locations that get stuck under the “rain train” could see flash flooding. Most of us will see 1-3”, but 4”+ is possible for isolated locations.
Rain will be scattered by the second half of Thursday with an unsettled pattern sticking around through Saturday.
