CMPD charges two 16-year-old boys in April murder of 38-year-old man

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have arrested two teens after a deadly shooting in University City from back in April.

Khazai McIllwain and Devonterival Miller are both 16. They’re charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon in death of 38-year-old Virgil Hardeman.

The shooting happened April 9th at the Microtel on East McCullough Drive.
