ALBEMARLE, N.C. – Five teenagers are facing murder charges months after a deadly shooting in Albemarle, according to police.
The shooting happened on March 25 near Heath Street and Elizabeth Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, they located 23-year-old Rickasia Liles suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
On Tuesday, police arrested 18-year-old Yasir Davidson and four juveniles in connection to the case.
All five were charged with first-degree murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. Three of the underage teens were also charged with felony conspiracy, police said.
The names of the four juveniles were not released. All five remain in custody without bond.
