Woman hit and killed by traffic on I-77 after getting out of her car after hydroplaning

YORK CO., S.C. – The York County Coroner has identified a woman hit and killed by traffic on I-77. They say 40-year-old Tasia Villa hydroplaned on the southbound lanes due to rain on Thursday.

When she got out of her car, she was hit by passing traffic and pronounced dead at the scene.

Highway Patrol is investigating.
