Mooresville Police: 19-year-old girl dies after being shot by boyfriend on I-77
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A 19-year-old girl has died after being shot inside a car on I-77 on Sunday. Mooresville Police say the victim was driving near exit 35 when her boyfriend, J’kobe Ramseur, shot her from the passenger seat before shooting himself.
Investigators say the couple had a history of domestic violence. Text messages from that morning detailed a murder-suicide pact.
Ramseur survived his injuries. Police have officially upgraded his charges to first-degree murder.
A GoFundMe has been started to help with funeral expenses for the 19-year-old.
