Hickory man arrested in deadly weekend shooting

HICKORY, N.C. – A Hickory man is behind bars following a deadly weekend shooting in Burke County. Kenneth Potter is charged with homicide.

Deputies responded to a home on River Rock Road late Saturday night after reports of a fight. When they arrived, they found Kendall Lineberger had been shot in the chest. He died at the scene.

We are told Potter was arrested without incident.
