Huge improvement in this weeks Drought Monitor
Over a foot of rain is still needed to end the drought in parts of NC
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The updated drought monitor released on Thursday, July 30 shows the lowest drought levels North Carolina has seen since December 2025!
Thanks to recent rainfall, Lake Norman is seeing its highest water level since March at 96.18 feet, 3.82 feet below full pool.
While this is a massive improvement, we still need a lot of rain to completely end the drought.
