Cleveland Co. Sheriff’s deputies say man arrested with $300,000 worth of cocaine

CLEVELAND CO., N.C. – Cleveland County Sheriff’s deputies say they seized three kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop with a street value of $300,000.

Walter Villeda-Ayala was stopped on Saturday while traveling north on I-85. Deputies say they found the cocaine in his vehicle after being alerted by a Sheriff’s Office K9.

Villeda-Ayala was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine. He was given a $500,000 bond and is also being held on an immigration detainer.
