CHARLOTTE, N.C.– A 13-year-old boy has been charged after a police say he fled the scene of a hit-and-run into a home.Β
Β On Friday, February 13, 2015, at 6:16 p.m., officers responded to a hit and run call Β in the 1600 block of Vancouver Drive. Β
When officers arrived at the scene, they saw that a Kia Sedona had run into a home and was partially inside the house.
The homeowner told police that the vehicle struck his house and the occupants ran from the vehicle. Β
Officials say that short time later, a 13 year old boy walked up the scene. Β
As a result of the investigation, officers charged the juvenile with Possession of Marijuana and Resist Obstruct and Delay.Β
Police are still investigating and have not said who the driver of the vehicle was or if the other suspects have been located.Β
