Β STATESVILLE, N.C.– A 15-year-old-boy visiting family in Statesville was hit by a car Saturday morning while riding on his skateboard.
Police said that the accident took place on around 11:30a.m. and that the boy did not stop at a stop sign while riding his skateboard and went into traffic where he ran into the path of a car on West End Avenue.
Officials say that the boy was Sent to Carolinas Medical Center for treatment for his life-threatening injuries.
Police said that they do not expect charges to be filed for the driver in this case. Β
