Isolated severe storms possible Thursday and Friday

 

Severe threat: A level 1 out of 5 is in place Thursday and Friday. Storms that move through could produce damaging wind gust, frequent lightning and heavy downpours. Tonight, the threat is late evening into the overnight hours. Friday is all over the place – mainly in the evening.

Forecast:
Thursday: Partly cloudy and hot with humidity increasing again. The very humid airmass returns with dew points approaching the mid 70s. Back in the upper 90s. Heat indices up to 104. Scattered strong to severe storms possible late evening, overnight into very early Friday.

Friday: Very early AM showers and storms possible. Partly sunny. Humid airmass in place with dew points in the mid 70s. Scattered to numerous showers and storms increase late afternoon into the evening. Highs in the low 90s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny. Muggy. Highs near 90. Isolated showers and storms.

Sunday: Humidity will be lower. Winds shifting to the north. Highs near 90 with not much of a heat index. Staying dry.
