CMPD Chief Estella Patterson continues to request a 9PM curfew for teens under 18
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD Chief Estella Patterson is once again asking Charlotte city leaders for a teen curfew. At Monday’s council meeting, Patterson reiterated that she wants a strict nine PM curfew for all youth under 18.
Under the proposal, teenagers out past nine would face penalties unless they meet specific criteria. Exceptions include being accompanied by a parent, guardian, or an authorized adult over 21.
City leaders plan to review CMPD’s recommendations before taking an official vote.
