Charlotte doctor accused of shooting woman and child during road rage incident
CARROLL CO., VA. – An urgent care doctor from Charlotte is accused of shooting a woman and a child after a road rage incident on I-77 in Virginia near the North Carolina state line.
61-year-old Richard Arriviello is facing several charges including malicious shooting into an occupied vehicle. Investigators say the shooting happened just before nine AM on Saturday morning at the three-mile-marker heading northbound. A 20-year-old female passenger and a 12-year-old girl were both shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Arriviello was later pulled over at exit 19 in a Mercedes-Benz and arrested. According to the business website, Arriviello owns Family Urgent Care in Monroe.
