Queen City Honor Flight gives local veterans a trip of recognition
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queen City Honor Flight is helping veterans across the Charlotte region receive the recognition they earned through their service.
The nonprofit’s president joined WCCB Rising alongside three local veterans to discuss the impact the Honor Flight has had on their lives and the importance of recognizing veterans while they are here to experience it.
Queen City Honor Flight serves veterans throughout Charlotte and surrounding communities. The organization is part of the national Honor Flight Network, which currently serves World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans, as well as terminally ill veterans from any era.
Trips are provided at no cost to veterans and are made possible through donations and community support.
