IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. – A Hiddenite woman has been arrested after drugs were found in her vehicle during a traffic stop. Deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 64 near West Lackey Farm Road.
During the search of the car, an accompanying K-9 was assigned and alerted deputies to the presence of illegal drugs. Deputies conducted a follow up search, locating methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Samantha Triplett, 40, was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was also issued citations for driving while license revoked, displaying a revoked registration plate and no liability insurance.
Triplett was issued a $25,000 secured bond.
