Deputies hunting for man accused of cutting communication lines in Hildebran

BURKE CO., N.C. – Burke County Sheriff”s deputies are searching for a wanted man following a utility wire theft that left communication lines cut in Hildebran.

Investigators have issued felony warrants for 39-year-old Anthony Lewis (pictured on the left) after lines were found hacked down along South Center Street.

A second suspect, 36-year-old David Young II (pictured on the right), is already locked up on a $75,000 bond after deputies say they found a firearm and theft evidence during a traffic stop.

Lewis remains on the run. Authorities are urging anyone who knows where he is hiding to immediately call the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500.
