Charlotte remains in stage 2 drought conditions; water-saving measures still in effect
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte remains under stage two drought conditions. Despite recent rainfall, Charlotte Water says it hasn’t been enough to overcome how little rain we’ve seen since last fall.
Remember, stage two conditions mean you aren’t allowed to wash your car at home, fill pools or operate ornamental fountains.
As of September 1st, more than 2,000 violations have been reported to Charlotte Water. Nearly 340 people have actually received violations. Fines start at $100 for a first violation and range up to $600 for a third violation.
