Charlotte woman mauled by seven dogs is out of hospital, faces long road to recovery

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A northwest Charlotte woman is home from a ten-day hospital stay, after surviving a vicious attack by seven pit bulls. The attack happened last month in the the Claiborne Woods neighborhood.

According to Haley Wright’s sister, Wright was in her front yard the morning of August 26th when the dogs fell out of a moving U-Haul truck after it hit a bump. The truck driver kept going. The dogs surrounded Wright.

Wright’s partner and a neighbor were also mauled by the pack. Wright now faces a lengthy recovery. She suffered extensive injuries to her entire body. to A GoFundMe has been started to help cover her ongoing medical expenses.

Rodney and Rychelle Morrow face multiple charges for the attack. They include animal cruelty and dangerous dog attack.
