ATLANTA (AP) β€” Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez is shaking up his lineup with Atlanta mired in a six-game losing streak and struggling offensively.

Pitcher Aaron Harang will bat eighth in Monday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals, while second baseman Ramiro Pena is in the ninth spot.

Gonzalez says he felt like he needed to do something drastic after the Braves scored only 10 runs in their previous six games. Overall this season, Atlanta has have been shut out five times and scored only one run in seven games.

Gonzalez won’t say how long he plans to keep the pitcher hitting eighth, but indicated it won’t be for just one game. He also moved up Justin Upton to hit second in place of his brother B.J. Upton, who drops to fifth.
