Topless Rally Scheduled In Asheville Next Weekend

A group of women plan to bare their breasts for equal rights.
They say if men can go topless, why can’t they?

An organization called ‘Go Topless’ is planning to hold a rally in downtown Asheville next weekend.
Their goal is to make it acceptable for a woman to be topless anywhere it is OK for a man to be without his shirt.

Similar events are planned across the country on August 26th, which is Women’s Equality Day.
Ashville’s ‘Go Topless Rally’ has been an annual event since 2011.

City leaders in Asheville have been unable to stop it.
Technically it’s legal for women to shed their top in North Carolina.
The state’s indecency laws don’t consider a woman’s breasts ‘private parts.’
