Local nonprofit that provides shower access, hygiene supplies and more hosting fundraiser on Saturday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Local nonprofit that offers much needed resources for unhoused people throughout the community is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday. Hosted by Project Outpour, the fourth annual Outpour Fest is happening at Petty Thieves Brewing on Saturday.

The nonprofit provides free mobile shower access, clean clothing, and hygiene supplies five days a week around the community. The executive director of Project Outpour says providing resources like these help boost confidence. Laura Gorecki says, “People who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness have very limited access to clean water, to restrooms and to sanitation services. So the ability to come and take a shower gives them a chance to get clean clothes. Which then allows them to go to job interviews go to doctors appointments and things like that.”

Outpour fest runs from 2 PM to 5 PM on Saturday.
