CHERAW, S.C. — Officers with the Cheraw Police Department say they arrested a man for exposing himself to children at a park.
Officers responded to Caston Park on High Street on August 25th after someone said a man was walking around naked.
Upon arrival, officers located Robert Ashworth, 57, sitting on a bench near the playground. Police say Ashworth appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. Witnesses told investigators that he pulled his gym shorts down in front of children at the park.
Police determined there were approximately six children and two adults in the playground area when the incident happened.
Ashworth has been charged with public drunk and indecent exposure.
