Gastonia Police investigating after shooting death of 68-year-old woman

GASTONIA, N.C. – Gastonia Police are searching for a killer after the shooting death of a 68-year-old woman. The victim has been identified as Pamela Shanks. Police say the shooting happened Monday afternoon inside a home on Hillgate Avenue. We are also told there is another scene across the street near a playground.

Right now police say they are unable to release any information about and relationships or connections Shanks had to the shooting. Officials say no suspects are in custody. They have also not released any information regarding a possible motive.
