3 hurt after falling from horse-drawn wagon at Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A local man is asking for donations after two of his family members were hurt when they fell from a horse drawn wagon at Lazy 5 Ranch in Mooresville over the weekend.

Eddie Quesenberry’s mom Ruth and aunt Julia were both rushed to local hospitals. He says his mom had to have surgery to have part of her skull removed to relieve brain swelling. He started a Gofundme to help with medical bills.

Lazy 5 Ranch a confirms a tree limb fell and hit the side of the wagon on Saturday. The impact spooked the horses, causing three passengers to fall off the wagon. We do not know who the third person is. The wagon driver and the horses are not hurt.

Lazy 5 Ranch says this is the first incident resulting in hospitalization in the ranch’s history of more than three-million guests.
