Boil water advisory in place for five York Co. neighborhoods

YORK CO., S.C. – People living in five York County neighborhoods are being asked to boil their water due to elevated levels of E. coli and total coliform.

People living in these communities should vigorously boil their water for at least one minute prior to drinking or cooking: Hawks Creek, Stockbridge Drive, Coralstone Drive, Waterstone and Palmetto West.

Re-testing is being done now and the county expects an update within 48 hours.
