Woman who died in Rock Hill house fire is identified

ROCK HILL, S.C. – We’ve learned the name of a woman who died after a house fire in Rock Hill. Investigators say 53-year-old Mary Weldon passed away at the hospital after firefighters pulled her from a burning home on Maple Street just before 11:00 Wednesday night.

A second person escaped on their own and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Fire investigators haven’t said if they’ve figured out what sparked the flames.
