Raising Mama: Caregivers find connection, resources and support
Raising Mama Caregivers Conference being held on November 7th from 8 am - 5:30 pm
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Nearly 13 million Americans provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. The physical, emotional and financial toll can be overwhelming for families.
WCCB Rising is highlighting a local caregivers conference that is bringing together caregivers, healthcare experts, and community organizations for a day of education, resources and support. Janine Davis, creator and producer of Raising Mama Caregivers Conference stopped by Rising to tell us about the conference.
The conference is on November 7th from 8 am – 5:30 pm at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church off Beatties Ford Rd.
