Child, Man Killed In Lenoir Wreck

LENOIR, N.C. — Police are investigating after two people were killed in a wreck in Lenoir.

The crash happened Tuesday just after 4pm near the intersection of Lower Creek Drive and Taylorsville Road.

Joseph Noll, 79, and a 4-year-old died from the injuries they sustained in the crash.  Investigators say Noll was driving his 2005 Mercury Sable west on Lower Creek Drive with his wife when he collided with a 2011 Dodge Caliber driven by 38-year-old Natasha Wells.

Three children ages 2, 9 and 4 were passengers in the back seat of the Dodge Caliber.  Noll’s wife, Barbara, was flown to North Carolina Baptist Hospital and is in critical condition.

The 2-year-old and the 9-year-old were transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and are listed in stable condition.  Wells only received minor injuries in the crash.  The investigation is ongoing and no other information has been released at this time.
